Summarize an interesting story from mythology that your god is a part of:
Persephone was always traveling with her mom Demeter, the goddess of the earth and nature.Hades, the god of the underworld, wanted her as a wife. Because he wanted her to be his wife, he asked his brother Zeus, the god of all gods, to help him. Zeus agreed to help him. So one day Zeus grew a pretty flower that caught Persephone's attention. As she stopped to look at the flower, Hades came out of the Underworld riding his chariot and took Persephone back to the Underworld with him.Because Demeter didn't know what had happened to Persephone, Demeter looked for her all day. Since Demeter is the goddess of nature, she didn't allow anything to grow. She let everything die while her daughter was missing. These actions worried Zeus that all humankind would die. If there weren't any humans there wouldn't be any sacrifices for the gods. So Zeus begged Demeter to let all things grow. She wouldn't restore the earth until Persephone was returned.
Because Zeus wanted the earth back to normal, he sent Hermes, the messenger of the gods, to get Persephone from the underworld. As Persephone was leaving, Hades gave her a pomegranate. Persephone ate a lot of the seeds. Persephone didn't know that if you ate something from the underworld you could never leave. Because of this, Zeus stated Persephone would spend half of the year in the underworld and the other half with her mom. So the half that she was in the underworld everything on the Earth was dead and when she was with her mom all of the Earth was restored.
